Prerequisites: FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. An in-depth, integrated study of transport category aircraft electrical, communication, navigation, and flight management systems. Topics include inertial navigation and global positioning systems, engine indicating and crew alert systems, traffic alert and collision avoidance systems, airline communication addressing and reporting systems, and Aeronautical Radio, Inc. definitions and standards. Test equipment utilization, wiring schematic interpretation, logic circuitry, and advanced troubleshooting techniques are also addressed.
