Three hours lecture. Introduction to unified approach to lumped-element modeling and analysis of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and mechatronic systems. Topics include graphical modeling using band graphs; formulation of stalespace equations; analysis of linear systems; determination of time and frequency domain response of such systems to transient and periodic inputs, block diagram representation of dynamic system using LaPlace Transforms; and integration into feedback control systems. Prereqs: ENGR 255, ENGR 275, and MATH 433.
