Description:
Three hours lecture, three hours lab. A study of stress-strain relationship for axial, torsion, shearing, and bending loads; deflection of beams; connections; combined loadings; statically indeterminate members; and plane stress. The laboratory experience will include material testing to determine physical and mechanical properties that will reinforce the principles studied. Prereqs: ENGR 235 and MATH 230.
