This course utilizes a systems approach to understand underlying mechanisms of the disease process and how these mechanisms relate to and cause overt signs and symptoms. The content emphasizes normal homeostasis controlling mechanisms and how pathophysiological mechanisms disturb homeostasis and cause dysfunction. Prereq: BIOL 121 and CHEM 107 or consent of the instructor.
