Designed to fulfill the needs of the Synthesis category of the University Core Curriculum, this capstone course requires students to develop interdisciplinary solutions for addressing contemporary business problems. In addition to integrating the major fields of business (accounting, finance, marketing, management, computer information systems), this course requires students to address a variety of different topics, such as social issues, diversity, environmental concerns, global/cultural differences, ethics, economics, critical thinking, problem identification, problem solving, communication skills, quantitative analysis, technology, current events and politics. Through the use of cases, presentations, written projects, class discussions, lectures and current periodicals, students are exposed to the complexities of conducting business in a changing world.
