An investigation of the role of culture in shaping human thought, emotion, and behavior. Of central interest are those theories which explore the relationship between culture and the individual construction of meaning. Attention is also devoted to cross-cultural studies in such areas as development, cognition, and personality. This course includes introduction to methods of study in cultural psychology. Prerequisite: Psyc 101, 209 recommended. Spring, even-numbered years.
