HIS 130 (Formerly HI 106) - World History This is a global history course focusing upon the twentieth century. It reviews the major political, social and economic events that have shaped the history of the modern world, including American, European, Asian, Middle Eastern and Latin American civilizations. Emphasis is placed upon the two world wars, the breakup of the European colonial empires, the rise of Third World nationalism and the pressing global issues that now threaten life on our planet (e.g. famine, overpopulation, unequal distribution of resources, etc.) Prerequisite: ENG105. (3 Credits).
