Fundamentals of computer technology, binary number systems, data type standards and data type storage requirements, Turing machines, binary logic, and simple "gate" circuits. The five functional units of input, output, ALU, control unit, and memory are covered and integrated into a "virtual", "generic" computing machine. Progression from Boolean fundamentals through binary logic to micro-code creation. Hands-on experience assembling and implementing low-level programming of a typical computing system.
