Prerequisites: CO 102 and either CO 306 or permission of instructor. Applies the elements of convergent media writing in professional public relations. Students gain practice in identifying public relations needs and concerns for generalized and specialized audiences, and how to create effective messages to satisfy them. Students will plan and execute projects including press releases, speeches, and publicity campaigns for traditional media and "eWOM" (electronic word of mouth - blogs and other social media).
