Prerequisites: CH 116 / CH 118 (or EAS 120 ), and CH 201 /CH 203 , or permission of instructor Theory and applications of various instrumental methods with emphasis on ultraviolet, visible, atomic absorption, fluorescence, infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy; mass spectrometry; gas and liquid chromatography; and potentiometry. Laboratory analysis of samples by methods discussed in the lecture.
