Description:
-
Philosophy is the "love of wisdom" and it begins with the act of wondering. In this course, students will wonder actively as did the great philosophers of ancient and medieval times. Through reading primary and secondary, students will acquire understanding of basic philosophical vocabulary and concepts. In this one semester course, students will examine metaphysical, epistemological, aesthetical, and ethical themes which provide a firm foundation for further philosophical study. (Students who have taken PHI 100 may not take PHI 101.)
