Introduces students to the theory and skills required for working in and managing public and private human service organizations, including planning, design, human resources, supervision, finance, development, information systems, quality improvement, organizational change, and leadership. A research component focuses on evaluation, including outcomes and satisfaction measurement. Students will write a proposal for a program of their choice. Prerequisite: SW251 or permission of the instructor. Fall semester. 3 credits.
