Students will acquire a working knowledge of the basics of the operating systems most likely to be seen in an educational setting: Windows,Apple OS, Linux, and Unix. The course covers the fundamental attributes of each operating system, including the most current version and at least one recent version. This will be important to assessing administrative technological needs, implementing and maintaining interactive information systems and networks, troubleshooting, and planning for technology implementation. Prerequisites: ID500, ID511, ID521, and ID532. Summer. 3 credits. Fee.
