Taking place in an urban area outside the United States, but in Western Europe, or another North American country, this course uses the city – its people, popular and cultural material, public art,neighborhoods,and amenities – as the subject for study. Students will expand their boundaries as individuals and move toward accepting responsibility as global citizens. They will become sensitive to cultural difference and appreciate the cultural and social forces that shape the lives of those who share their planet. Repeatable for credit. Permission required. 1-3 credits. Fee.
