Designed for workers in the tourism industry who interact with international travelers. It is geared to occupations such as tour guide, hotel worker, waiter, or other servers. Classes are focused on speaking and listening skills, with strong emphasis on specialized vocabulary for travel and tourism. The course also provides opportunities for students to create realistic travel documents such as itineraries and reports. Field trips to tourism sites, job shadowing activities, and supplemental grammar instruction are part of this course. Students must reach advanced level of proficiency. Pass/Fail only. 3 credits.
