Designed to survey children’s literature including nursery rhymes, literary folk tales, poetry, illustrations, story telling, and literary genres, this course focuses on the importance of integrating children’s literature across the curriculum. Students will discover creative activities to incorporate children’s literature into their daily lessons and evaluate the quality of children’s literature. This course will also address the PA Academic Standards for Reading and Language Arts focusing on literature. Prerequisite: ED825. Summer, alternate years. 3 credits.
