Description:
Lesson planning for the teaching of Art, based on PA Academic Standards, is stressed in this class. Instructional techniques for teaching of spatial, graphics, and media art, art history and philosophy, aesthetics, and criticism to diverse learners receive major focus. Participants will micro-teach lessons of their own design and will initiate a teaching portfolio. Exposure to professionals and professional organizations, the use of curricular materials and technology, and discussion of ethical behavior and classroom management complete course. Prerequisite: ED201. Spring semester. 3 credits. Fee.
