This is an introductory course stressing the PA Academic Standards, philosophy, history, psychology, law, and sociology of education. Certification, school law, current issues/trends in special education and vocational technical education,and other topics related to the teaching profession are introduced. Student experiences will culminate in the development of a personal philosophy of education and observations in an area school to provide an opportunity for a special investigation of the profession. Fall and spring semesters. 3 credits. Fee.
