Theoretical and experiential study of art therapy with groups. Includes the practical aspects of creating and maintaining art therapy groups. Students experience various approaches to group art therapy. Skills developed through readings and inclass experientials include: understanding group dynamics, determining group needs, and designing group art therapy processes that meet the needs of a variety of client groups in different treatment settings. Prerequisites: AT500 and FT530. Fall semester. 3 credits. Fee.
