This course is an intermediate-level study of the American Fingerspelling manual alphabet. Emphasis is placed on the application of fingerspelling in the interpreting process. Students participate in extensive drills and practice in expressive and receptive skills that may include the use of fingerspelling in voice to sign and sign to voice interpreting. This course is intended for American Sign Language (ASL) majors and those pursuing employment or a career in the field of American Sign Language/English interpreting.
