This course is designed to provide students of American Sign Language (ASL) - English Interpretation with an introduction to the application of interpreting skills to a variety of professional settings and situations. Settings covered include, but are not limited to Community, Conference, Deaf/Blind, Educational (K-12 and Post-secondary), Legal, Medical, Mental Health, Performing Arts, Religious Interpreting, and Video Relay Interpreting, and Private Practice and Freelance. This course is intended for students who plan to transfer and/or are interested in becoming an ASL Interpreter.
