This course is an in-depth study of curriculum for children with special needs. Emphasis is placed on the concept of full inclusion of children with special needs into school/community settings and on related educational strategies and adaptive equipment. This course is designed for parents, teachers, nurses, social workers, and paraprofessionals employed in schools, day care centers, and child development programs. This course partially meets the specialization requirements for the Master Teacher Permit.
