In Ethnic Costume: History and Design, students study world costume, its history and evolution. Students learn how costume is influenced by a country's geography, history and culture. Included in the course is a study of costume silhouette, design, construction and embellishment. Traditional and online research and garment design by computer are incorporated in the course. This course is appropriate for fashion design majors and any student interested in ethnic costume.
