This course a survey of basic structural systems of modern buildings. Emphasis is placed on sustainable materials and methods of construction as they relate to interior design projects. This course also explores the legal, social, and economic forces that affect housing design and provides an overview of the technical aspects of basic building systems as they relate to design and the building industry. This course is designed for students majoring in this field as well as for students interested in interior design.
