This course provides an introduction to the role and mechanisms of pesticides in an integrated pest management program. Ecological, biological, and economic principles will be emphasized. The classification, mode of action, toxicity, registration procedures, and application techniques of chemicals defined as pesticides under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act will be studied. Includes 3 lecture hours weekly.
