Study of Latin-American narrative from the late 1970s to the present includes both recent novels of writers established before the 1970s (Vargas Llosa, García Márquez, Fuentes) and younger writers associated with the post-"Boom" phenomenon. Prerequisites: Span 307D and Span 308D and at least two 300-level literature courses taught in Spanish. One-hour preceptorial for undergraduates only; in Spanish.
