Using selected studio experiences in drawing, painting, and three dimensional art forms, and by reading about and viewing works of art, students examine early human development in the visual arts, with an emphasis on exercises appropriate to the elementary classroom. Through these experiences, they learn fundamental criteria for making judgments about the quality and value of works of art. Prerequisite: Art Education, Liberal Studies or Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies major with sophomore standing
