An introduction to the Indian, Inuit, and Aleut peoples of North America from their arrival on the continent through contact with peoples from Europe, Africa, and Asia. The course will examine the social, economic, political, and religious aspects of the various groups and will include a discussion of the impacts of Euro-American culture on Native peoples.
