Exposes you to American Sign Language. Readiness activities are conducted focusing on visual/receptive skills and basic communication. The course uses the direct experience method. You must complete this course with a B or higher or pass the ASL proficiency test with a score of at least 80 percent or better prior to registering for ASL 122, if planning to enroll in the Interpreter Preparation Program.
