AE 223. Statics Studies the condition of equilibrium of rigid bodies under the action of forces. Rigid bodies include beams, trusses, frames, and machines. Considers both two- and three-dimensional bodies. Also studies centroids, centers of gravity, and moments of inertia. Corequisites: MATH 243 and PHYS 313.
