Clinical Field Experience: Special Education I Students learn how special education services are delivered in public schools; gain practical experience interacting with public school students with various labels, abilities, and exceptionalities in a variety of settings; and become familiar with related terminology (PIT, IEP, ECSE, ADHD, EMR, Child Study Team, etc.), the steps used to evaluate and place students with special needs, and approaches that work to maximize the success of all students. Prerequisites: acceptance into the Teacher Education Program and a Professional Development Site Program.
