ECON 231. Introductory Business Statistics. An introduction to statistical inference, estimation, and hypothesis testing. Includes summary measures, probability, random variables and their distributions, sampling distributions, elements of Bayesian decision theory, linear regression and correlation, and time series analysis. Uses commercial statistical packages to perform statistical data analysis. Prerequisite: MATH 111.
