Description:
Prerequisite: BIO 110. Study of the structure and function of cells, tissues, and organs of organisms. Prepared slides of human and other vertebrate organs and tissues will be studied with light microscopy. Students will also learn techniques associated with slide preparation and slide organization. An understanding of human anatomy would be beneficial to students taking this course. Histology is highly recommended for students interested in health-related, biomedical, and biological careers. (3 hours lecture, 3 hours lab)
