Prerequisite: ART 314, Junior/Senior. Preparation to teach art and organize appropriate art experiences for the secondary level student, grades 9-12. Includes history and philosophy of art education as it relates to secondary level teaching. Topics to be covered include: teaching art, art hazards, curriculum planning and assessment, studio, lesson plans, current trends, community and service learning, advocacy, developing resource materials, and demonstrated teaching. (6 hours studio)
