3 hours lecture Prerequisites: CEN 307, 408 For students interested in a career in structural engineering, gives a basic understanding of the behavior of various two and three dimensional load carrying structural systems and also some means by which they can compare alternate structural systems. Design concepts, design assumptions, and methods of analysis are stressed. The selection of the optimum system for a particular type structure is also discussed.
