Prerequisites: At least a C- in CHM, two semesters of college physics, and three semesters of calculus; or permission of instructor. Pre- or corequisite: CHM 316 Topics in applied mathematics with applications to physical chemistry. Includes introduction to differential equations, linear algebra, computer programming, curve and surface fitting, numerical integration, and trajectory calculations. Computer mathematics software will be used extensively throughout the course.
