Binomial, hypergeometric, Poisson, multinomial and normal distributions, test of hypotheses, chi-square test, t-test. F-test, etc, nonparametric tests; correlation analysis. Credit earned for this course may not be applied toward requirements for the Mathematical Sciences major. Students who have a calculus background are encouraged to take MATH 4635 instead of this course. PREREQUISITE: 6 hours in mathematics at level of MATH 1710 or above (except MATH 1601).
