Prerequisites: mathematics major The use of techniques and materials in teaching the mathematical sciences in grades 8-12. Special attention will be given to new information technology and its use in enhancing learning and problem-solving abilities. This course will concentrate on the integration of commercially-available computer software into the mathematics curriculum in algebra, geometry, statistics, and precalculus, as well as with more traditional materials. This course is for mathematics majors intending to teach.
