3 hours lecture Prerequisites: EGR 301 Concepts and principles associated with operations research techniques for engineers, which are powerful tools for product design, production planning and control. Introduction to linear programming, formulation of linear programming, the Simplex Method, transportation model and its variants, network models, inventory models, forecasting models, Markovian decision process, and classical optimization theory. Students work in a team on a design project related to these topics.
