The course presents the concepts of precision agriculture and the applications of these technologies to production agriculture. Major topics include: electronic sensors and controllers, variable rate technology, global positioning systems, geographic information systems, yield mapping, and interpretation of data collected with these systems. Prerequisite: CROP 161, SOIL 210, AGEN 150. Necessary computer skills: familiarity with spreadsheets and word processing software. (F)
