Students examine theories of child development within the elementary music classroom, appropriate methods and materials for designing curriculum, assessment of music learning objectives, and use of technology as appropriate for the elementary classroom music setting. Students complete 13 hours of focused field experience in which they plan, teach, and assess lessons at the early childhood and elementary levels. Prerequisites for the course are MUS 130, 131, 230, 231, passage of the Music Ed audition, and TED 120, 211/212, 252. (F).
