The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity to concentrate on language arts in the early childhood curriculum as a means of supporting language development. The developmental continuum of literacy, the components of literacy, planning literacy lessons and teaching strategies will be explored. The integration of language arts in all of the curriculum areas of the early childhood program will be emphasized. Prerequisite: TED 155, 332 or Junior standing. (F, Sp)
