Prerequisite: BIOL 152 A study of molecular, classical and population genetics. Topics include the physical and chemical nature of genes, DNA replication, RNA transcription, protein translation, inheritance patterns, chromosome anomalies, behavior of genes in populations and speciation. Three lectures and one three-hour laboratory per week. Spring semester.
