Prerequisite: An ACT math score of 18 or first year algebra in high school with a minimum grade of B Introduction to inorganic chemistry including atomic structure, chemical bonding, states of matter, chemical equations, mole problems and concepts, nomenclature, and energetics. Includes instruction on the metric system, the scientific method and some history of chemistry. Three lectures and one three-hour laboratory per week. Does not apply toward a division major or minor. Fall semester.
