Prerequisites: Two years of high school algebra and an ACT math score of 20 (SAT of 480) or MATH 100 Study of the properties of the real and complex number systems, linear and quadratic equations, factoring, exponents, inequalities, and polynomials. Emphasizes functions (algebraic, exponential, and logarithmic). A TI-83 (highly recommended) or other graphics calculator with comparable features is required for this course. Does not apply toward a mathematics major or minor. Fall/spring semesters.
