The purpose of this practicum course is to provide opportunities for Advanced Gerontological Nurse Practitioner/Diabetes Clinical Manager Nurse students to apply concepts from Advanced Gerontological-Diabetes Clinical Manager Nursing I in selected clinical settings. The focus is on older adults and families in primary acute care settings. The emphasis is on diagnostic reasoning and decision making/critical thinking especially with older adults who have diabetes and live in rural/impoverished/underserved areas.
