With the guidance and advice of a faculty mentor, honors students will identify and carry out an in-depth, year-long field research project in anthropology. The Honors Senior Thesis will be judged and graded by a committee of three faculty, chaired by the faculty mentor. This is a 3 hour course that can be repeated once for a total of six hours. Prerequisites: Anthropology major; senior status; permission of a faculty mentor; grade point average of 3.5; and completion of a thesis prospectus prepared in consultation with the faculty mentor through an AN 394 Directed Studies course taken during the junior year.
