The focus of this course is examining current issues and trends in educational psychology. Students review state-of-the-art research and theory in learning, motivation, and development, as well as current recommended practices in assessment and instruction. Students are then required to pose research hypotheses, examine related literature, and design an appropriate methodology for a thesis, curriculum project or other graduate level culminating activity. It is recommended that students complete this course early in their program.
