This course is designed to familiarize biomedical scientists and those interested in the business of science with the basic fundamentals of biomedical technology transfer. The emphasis of the course will be on how technology transfer occurs, different technology transfer models, early stage technology finance, basics of intellectual property and the regulatory and reimbursement environment for commercializing drugs, devices, diagnostic tests and health information software.
