Description:

This course introduces students to fundamental techniques and materials for working with studio-quality sound, hardware and software. Topics will be drawn from: MIDI/music networks, graphic notation, MIDI controllers/sequencers, sampling basics, and film and video synchronization fundamentals. May be repeated for a maximum of nine credit hours. Prerequisites: MSU 421, MUS 422, or consent of the instructor.
